The conflict in my novel is between Terence and Arjay. Mr. Healy has been wondering how he had ended up in the hospital in the first place after beginning to remember his memory and started to realize what had happened to him with the people who were responsible for his very unwelcome injury. No one but Terence and Arjay know the truth about Healy's injury and they know that once he figures out for sure who pushed him over the edge, both their lives are over.

Terence, being the main character in the novel, blames Arjay for pissing him off after he had headbutted him on the chin, although it was his fault for starting physical contact. Terence had thought about being the tougher person which lead him to doing what he had done because he was taught never to think weak, after rolling with the toughest gang in Chicago. Arjay doesn't know much about what they would be doing , except argue with Terence because he knows for a fact that it was all his fault for choosing the wrong actions, even though Terence knew he was much smaller than Arjay and just decided to play dirty.

Near the ending of the book, Mr.Healy returned to full health and remembered everything. He had gotten to the point of getting Arjay and Terence to even more trouble and doubled everything they had been doing before. Healy knows that it was not their fault and it was wrong of them to lie and hide the truth from everyone, but he realized they're just teenagers and they need to change before its too late.

Have you ever been in a situation where you knew the truth about something and just kept it from everyone and it caused an even larger conflict?

  1. Yes I have been in many situations where I knew the truth and kept it from many people on for it to get out and cause an even larger conflict that gets blamed on me. By keeping the truth you are not starting problems but by not telling the truth when it gets out evetually it will cause a huge fight.

  2. I can honestly say that I have never been put in this kind of situation because if I know the truth I tell people (unless if it'll make matters worse) By not telling the truth, it will only make things worse, and then the blame is on you for keeping secrets.

  3. Yes i have been in this position before, and it is very fustrating. You though by not telling the truth you would make it better, but yet all you did was make it worse. And when you want to tell the truth its basicly to late casue all its going to do is casue a bunch of more problems.
I think its best to just tell the truth in the first place because like they say a lie just snowballs into a bigger problem.

  4. Yes i have been in this situation before. somethings are ment to stay hidden away. people do things then regret what they did right away or maybe down the road. some people deserve it to be hidden and others dont.
